Class Descriptions
Creative Movement 4-5 years 45 minutes, once a week Proper body alignment, stretching, and beginning ballet steps. Themed classes during the year. Musicality and counting learned through repetition.Focus placed on working in a structured class setting.Beginning tap included each lesson. Pre-Ballet 5-6 years 60 minutes,once a week Proper stretching technique at barre and center. Beginning ballet steps at barre and center. Musicality and memorization through repetition. Ballet 1 7 years and up 75 minutes,once or twice per week Vaganova utilized with vocabulary emphasized. Each level has an established curriculum that each dancer works at their own pace to master.Once completed, advancement to the next level occurs. Ballet II and III with Pointe 120 minutes, required two or more times per week Contemporary 90 minutes , once a week. Combines classical ballet, modern, lyrical, and jazz movements. Special Needs Ballet 8 years and up 45 minutes, once a week Ballet utilized for each students ability . |
