Class DescriptionsCreative Movement 4-5 years class size 9 students 45 minutes, once a week Proper body alignment, stretching, and beginning ballet steps. Themed classes during the year. Musicality and counting learned through repetition.Focus placed on working in a structured class setting.Beginning tap included each lesson. Pre-Ballet /Tap 5-7 years class size 9 students 60 minutes,once a week Proper stretching technique at barre and center. Beginning ballet steps at barre and center. Musicality and memorization through repetition.Tap technique continues each lesson. Ballet 1 7 years and up class size 15 students 75 minutes,once or twice per week Vaganova utilized with vocabulary emphasized. Each level has an established curriculum that each dancer works at their own pace to master.Once completed, advancement to the next level occurs. Ballet II 90 minutes, required two or more times per week Beginning Pointe 60 minutes, by staff recommendation, required 2 times per week Ballet III with Pointe 120 minutes, required 3 or more times per week Beginner Tap 60 minutes, for students with no previous tap or transitioning into ballet I Advanced Tap 60 minutes, for students with previous tap classes Contemporary 90 minutes , once a week. Combines classical ballet, modern, lyrical, and jazz movements. Beginner Dance Team Skills / Hip hop 45 minutes, for students aged 4 and up. Students with no prior dance experience must be enrolled in a ballet class to attend this class Advanced Dance Team Skills / Hip hop 60 minutes,for students with previous dance experience. Hip hop choreography, turns,tricks, and leaps. Special Needs Ballet /Tap 45 minutes, once a week Ballet and tap curriculum utilized for each students ability . |
